Can Janpere has the luxury of a peaceful, spacious communal patio located within the premises with BBQ facilities and the possibilities to eat or relax outside (shaded tables and chairs) and enjoy the fresh mountain air in the centre of ardines. It is an ideal area for young children to play and for families to appreciate.
Pardines has two ‘plaçes’ ideal for kids. The first is a playground with two permanent ping-pong tables and the second is a larger football sala/basketball court that is also big enough to rollerblade and ride bicycles. For more dedicated sport fans the village recently constructed brand new tennis and padel courts only a few metres from the centre of the hamlet.
It is impossible to step into a street in Pardines and not be immediately struck by the quaint, rustic and historic surroundings. A short walk gives a strong flavour of this distinct and pastoral mountainside escape. One of the focal landmarks is the eighth century Saint Steven’s Church (esglèsia de Sant Esteve) and part of the medieval wall.
Pardines is superbly situated at the centre of various routes and paths for walks, exploration or mountain biking. A simple two kilometre trek – easy for all the family – will lead to another little church, Santa Magdalena, where some fantastic views of the village and the Serra Cavallera can be sampled.
Two kilometres in the other direction a small local campsite offers horse-riding expeditions, a swimming pool and forest-set archery.
Pardines has two restaurants/bars - Can Serra and Can Manel - that serve dishes or food typical of the region or of the season.
